Tokayev meets with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

During the talks, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that the official visit of Alexander Lukashenko will give a powerful impetus to the development of the Kazakh-Belarusian strategic partnership and economic cooperation.

- Alexander Grigoryevich, Your stay here is a welcome event for us. Because this is a good opportunity to confirm absolutely friendly relations and cooperation between our States. This is a good opportunity to give a very serious impetus to the business partnership between our countries. Whether it is the sphere of economy, humanitarian ties or international cooperation, the President of Kazakhstan said.

The Head of state noted that in Kazakhstan, Alexander Lukashenko is treated with sincere respect as an outstanding statesman, who actually stood at the origins of the independence of Belarus.

Alexander Lukashenko thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the warm welcome and stressed the historically friendly nature of relations between the two countries.

- I want to note that our relations with Kazakhstan are close, our economies are complementary, we always create new opportunities for each other. Everything that we produce in the country, Kazakhstan needs it, everything that you produce in Kazakhstan, we are ready to buy with great pleasure, - said the President of Belarus
