Negotiations between Kazakhstan and Russia: Coal transit increased

It was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Today, as a result of negotiations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on the transit of Kazakh coal to Ukraine through the territory of the Russian Federation, the Kazakh side managed to increase the permitted transit volume to 140 thousand tons per month.

Earlier, starting in July 2019, the volumes of permitted transit did not exceed 90 thousand tons per month.

The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been negotiating with its Russian colleagues to remove restrictions from the late summer.
