Kazakh President learns about development strategy "Almaty-2050"

Mayor of Almaty Bakytzhan Sagintayev presented the draft development strategy "Almaty-2050" to the Head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, press service of Akorda.

The program defines the key areas of work on the socio-economic development of Almaty, attracting investment, creating new jobs, providing employment, maintaining public safety, improving the infrastructure of the city outskirts. Prospects of development of Almaty agglomeration are also designated.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev handed the keys to the apartments in the residential district "Kokkainar" to 12 orphans in need of housing.

- I congratulate all of you on the new apartments! The state will always pay special attention to the housing issue. I wish you success! - said the Head of state.

In General, 51 people from among the graduates of orphanages standing in line will receive houses in the microdistrict "Kokkainar" within the framework of the "Nurly Zher" program.
