IV Kazakh-Kyrgyz forum of intellectuals held in Bishkek

Today, on November 26, Bishkek hosted the IV international Kazakh-Kyrgyz intellectuals forum entitled "Close fraternal relations", organized by the International Turkic Academy.

The meeting was attended by assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev, President of the International Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali, Advisor to the President Sultan Raev, Minister of education and science of Kyrgyzstan Kanybek Isakov, Ambassador extraordinary And Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Nurpeisov, state and public figures, scientists of the two countries, academics, heads of research institutes, intellectuals and journalists.

The forum, which was held in the main building Of the Kyrgyz state University was dedicated to fraternal relations between the Kazakh and Kyrgyz people.

During the meeting, representatives of the Kazakh and Kyrgyz intelligentsia gave a positive assessment of the cooperation of fraternal countries on the basis of universal values. They also exchanged views on the continuity and importance of literature, art and science in the Turkic world and global cultural relations.

Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev noted that if in the past centuries representatives of the intelligentsia made a huge contribution to the strengthening of friendship between the countries, today the close cooperation between the fraternal states is facilitated by the signed agreement on eternal friendship initiated by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Elbasy N. Nazarbayev. M. Ashimbayev also stressed the importance of the traditions of cooperation and cultural relations between the intelligentsia of the fraternal countries. This is especially important for the education of young people.

In addition, three new books published by the international Turkic Academy were presented at the forum.


To recall, the first meeting of the Kazakh and Kyrgyz intelligentsia was held in April 2018 at the initiative of the Turkic Academy in Nur-Sultan. The event, which had a special impact on cooperation between the two countries, continued in October of the same year in Osh.
