During the meeting, the young leaders told Nursultan Nazarbayev about their achievements and discoveries in various fields of activity.
Noting the importance of human capital development, the first President of Kazakhstan elaborated on the current challenges and global trends of global development.
At the same time, Nursultan Nazarbayev spoke about the measures currently being taken to create equal conditions for the further improvement of young people.
- In the framework of the Youth Year I launched an initiative called "El umiti" ("Hope of the nation") to support gifted and talented young people of Kazakhstan. The operator of the initiative was the Foundation of the First President, which works in close cooperation with government agencies. Now the Fund is undergoing a large-scale transformation. It will become a structure of comprehensive support for education, social development and youth initiatives, - said Elbasy.
During the conversation, Nursultan Nazarbayev focused on important areas of the upcoming work in the framework of the "El Umiti"initiative.
- We will create a comprehensive system to identify the abilities and professional orientation of students. In 2020, special centers for the identification of abilities and early career guidance of schoolchildren will be opened in all regions. These centers will use modern methods of diagnosing the abilities of gifted children on the basis of the best world practices, - said the First President of Kazakhstan.
Elbasy also noted that in the near future a special center for future professions will be created in the capital and a special information platform will be developed to ensure free access to the best educational resources.
In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev focused on the planned measures to support rural schools. Thus, within the framework of the program, the Foundation of the First President will organize an Olympiad, following the results of which 1000 best pupils of rural schools will have the opportunity to continue their education in schools for gifted children "Daryn".
In addition, the modernization of rural schools will be carried out within the framework of a special program. At the first stage in 2020 it is planned to select 14 educational institutions for this program.
- Within the framework of the program, teachers of these schools will be trained in modern teaching methods in Republican intellectual schools and leading universities of the world, - the First President of Kazakhstan said.
In conclusion, Nursultan Nazarbayev urged all Kazakhstanis to take an active part in the implementation of the initiative "El Umiti".
- I am sure that this initiative will be successful if the whole society, including the older generation, will participate in its implementation. I urge teachers and representatives of the creative intelligentsia to support these projects, - concluded the First President of Kazakhstan.
