ExxonMobil interested in expanding investment cooperation with Kazakhstan

Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi received managing Director of "ExxonMobil Kazakhstan" Dinesh Sivasamboo.

The parties discussed the activities of ExxonMobil in Kazakhstan, including the company's participation in the projects Tengiz, Kashagan as well as further plans to expand investment cooperation.

M. Tleuberdi noted the high role of ExxonMobil in the development of the oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan and ensuring the activities of the Council of foreign investors under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In turn, D. Sivasamboo noted that he highly appreciates the ongoing work to improve the investment climate of the country and to create favorable conditions for foreign investors.

ExxonMobil started its activities in Kazakhstan in 1993, becoming one of the first major Western oil investors in the country's economy. The volume of investments is $22 billion dollars. The company implements such areas as development, production, transportation of oil and gas.
