Average ticket price on domestic routes decreased by 12% in Kazakhstan

In order to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State to reduce prices for air transportation domestic airlines have reduced the average cost of air tickets on domestic routes by an average of 12%, press service of the Ministry of industry and infrastructure development reports.

The launch of the first budget airline in Kazakhstan had a significant impact on the air transportation market and in general allowed to increase competition in the domestic market, which led to a decrease in tariffs for air tickets.

With the arrival of the airline "Fly Arystan" in Kazakhstan airports there is an increase in passenger traffic, in Nur-Sultan-48%, Almaty-45%, Semey-1013%, Taraz-734%, Pavlodar-117%, Karaganda-90%, Shymkent-57%, Uralsk-54%.

The Ministry of industry and industrial development of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with interested state bodies and quasi-state entities is working on the application of a number of measures to reduce the cost of air tickets.

Also, in pursuance of the instruction of the Head of State regarding the reduction of prices for aviation fuel, Vice-Minister of industry and infrastructure development Berik Kamaliyev held a meeting with the main airports and foreign airlines operating flights to Kazakhstan.

Thus, the state-owned airports were instructed to reduce the cost of aviation fuel to the average market level and bring into line with this decision the contract with foreign airlines. The cost of jet fuel is the largest share in the cost of air travel - up to 30%.

The meeting was attended by airports of Nur-Sultan, Karaganda, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktau and representatives of foreign airlines "Air China Limited", "China Southern Airlines", "Turkish Airlines", "Atlasglobal", "Aeroflot", "Fly Dubai", "Uzbekistan Airways", "Pegasus", "Etihad Airways", "Siberia Airlines", "Ural Airlines" and "Belavia". In General, the issue of reducing the cost of jet fuel and air tickets will be under constant control of the Ministry and work in this direction will continue.
