For the 10th time in a row the season was set to start the far north of Finland at Ruka’s famous “Battery Run” course, and based on the consistent success of previous editions it’s fair to expect nothing but an electrifying competition under the lights.

The results of our athletes in these competitions are as follows:

Among men the best result was achieved by Dmitry Reyherd who according to the results of competitions took the fourth place. Another Kazakhstani athlete Pavel Kolmakov took the 10th place. The winner of the first stage was canadian Mikael Kingsbury, silver was won by Japanese Ikuma Horishima, and bronze was won by Swede Walter Wahlberg.

Among women Yulia Galysheva took the 12th place. The first place went to Perine Lafont, from France, the second place was won by the Japanese athlete Kawamuro Angri, and the bronze was won by Brittany Cox from Great Britain.

The organisers in Ruka have delivered a five-star course year after year, and again this season “Battery Run” was ready to welcome the world’s best moguls skiers as they’ll look to kick off another World Cup campaign on a high note.
