Air communication between Kazakhstan and Malaysia is expanding

Within the framework of the 12th air communications negotiations event (ICAN 2019), the Kazakh delegation held talks with the Malaysian aviation authorities, press service of the Ministry of industry and infrastructure development reports.

As part of the instruction of the Head of state on "open skies", Malaysian airlines were given the opportunity to perform regular passenger and cargo flights to 11 Kazakh airports (Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktau, Karaganda, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar, Kokshetau, Taraz, Petropavlovsk, Semey) without restrictions on frequencies, types of aircraft and the possibility of using the fifth degree of freedom of air.

On the basis of the agreements reached, representatives of the largest Malaysian low-cost carrier Air Asia X confirmed plans to open a flight to Kazakhstan in the 2nd quarter of 2020.
