3 time viewed

A number of flights are delayed at Almaty airport due to bad weather conditions.

"Due to changes in the flight schedule, we explain that, as a rule, the reasons for delays in departure are the late arrival of aircraft, adverse weather conditions at destination airports, additional maintenance and adjustment of the schedule by the decision of airlines," the airport reported.

Meanwhile, Almaty airport, certified for the increased category III B by ICAO, is ready to serve Airliners in conditions of limited visibility: to provide landing at decrease in horizontal visibility to 75 meters, and take-off-at its decrease to 125 meters. But this is possible only in the presence of the same category III b ICAO crew and aircraft. Visibility at Almaty International airport is 50/600 meters, the air temperature is -1°, despite the fog, the air Harbor operates normally without any restrictions.
