Independence is the invaluable wealth of the nation. This was announced By President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the ceremony of awarding state awards in Akorda, press service of the President reports.

"First of all, I sincerely congratulate everyone on our main holiday - Independence Day! It is the 28th anniversary of our glorious state. This is the beginning of our history, a great holiday. For us there is no more important holiday than this. Independence is the invaluable wealth of our nation. Our generation, thanks to the balanced policy of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, has turned the high dream of our people into reality. Our ancestors left us a legacy of vast land. It is our sacred duty to be faithful to their covenants. The feat of the batyrs, who fought for freedom, sacrificing their lives, will never be forgotten," the Head of state said. The President noted that the Golden age of our country, independent development began after independence.
