The final 2019 launch from Baikonur to be shown live

Today, on December 24 at 18 hours 03 minutes on time Nur-Sultan, the launch of the carrier rocket "Proton-M" with the upper stage "DM-03" and the Russian meteorological satellite "Electro-L" No. 3  from the Baikonur cosmodrome is planned. 

Three days ago, the rocket was taken out and installed at the launch complex of the cosmodrome. Russian space vehicles of the Electro series are part of the geostationary hydrometeorological space system of the same name and are designed to support units of the Federal service of Russia for Hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring, as well as for other agencies.

According to the press service of Roscosmos, the preparation for the launch and the moment of launch from Baikonur rocket "Proton-M" will be shown live. Broadcast from the launch complex of Baikonur will begin 50 minutes before the start, at 17 hours 15 minutes on Nur-sultan time. With this launch, Roscosmos completes the launch program from the Baikonur cosmodrome in 2019.
