Minister of education and science of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov summed up the work for this year and shared his plans for the future.

"This year was important for us in terms of the fact that we adopted a very important document. We have adopted a state programme. We have submitted a program for the development of education and science until 2025. This is a very important document, funding is increasing significantly, and, most importantly, it contains very important issues. We put the status of a teacher in the first place – his protection, training, rights and legitimate interests," Askhat Aimagambetov said in an interview with journalists on the sidelines of the Majilis.

The Minister added that the issue of education of children was also raised as a fundamental one.

"Not only the transfer of knowledge, information, but also education, a lot of such issues, including the provision of material and technical base. We now need to implement all this. Second, when we say unprecedented funding, we are faced with the challenge of transparency. We want to make a special website or portal, we will have to show where the money goes. Tomorrow there will be a great demand for this money and it is important to ensure the effectiveness of these measures. Therefore, next year is the year of implementation of the state program. The second is the year of implementation of the law on the status of a teacher. The third is the improvement of our educational programs. We want children to be happy at school. We will work in this direction, " Askhat Aimagambetov added.
