First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation, elbasy.kz reports.  

The parties exchanged congratulations on the upcoming New year. The Turkish leader wished Nursultan Nazarbayev health and success, and the people of Kazakhstan – well-being and prosperity.

Nursultan Nazarbayev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted with satisfaction the high level of Kazakh-Turkish relations and broad prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation.

The conversation was initiated by the Turkish side. 

According to a statement issued by Turkey’s Directorate of Communications, Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the nations' bilateral cooperation with Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan's founding president.

Erdogan also expressed hope that Turkey’s cooperation with Kazakhstan on both bilateral and multilateral platforms will further develop in the future.
