Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev met newly appointed assistant to the President – Secretary of the Security Council Asset Issekeshev, elbasy.kz reports.

During the meeting, Elbasy stressed the important role of the Security Council in coordinating the implementation of a unified state policy in national security and defense of the country.

- The Security Council is a very important state body that primarily analyzes and presents security issues for consideration, both inside and outside the country. This includes issues related to the work of law enforcement agencies, food security, relations with foreign countries, and defense capabilities. In addition, it is important to pay attention to the reform of the law enforcement system and bring it to the end," the First President of Kazakhstan said.

In turn, A. Issekeshev reported on the current situation in the country and provided information on plans for 2020.
