The official meeting ceremony of the President of Kazakhstan was held at the Qaṣr Al-Waṭan Presidential palace. The flags of Kazakhstan were raised and the national anthems of the two countries were played.

The Head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked for the hospitality and noted that as President he is making his first visit to the countries of the Arab world in the United Arab Emirates.

– The history of relations between the two countries has deep roots. We are bound by true friendship, mutual understanding and trust. Therefore, our relations have great prospects. The main goal of my visit is to give a new impetus to cooperation between the two states. We have achieved great success, but we cannot stand still, we must move forward. I attach special importance to this visit and have high hopes for it," the President of Kazakhstan said.

During the meeting, issues of interaction and cooperation in petrochemistry, agriculture, transport and logistics, financial and investment spheres were discussed.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that our countries are facing an important historical border - next year the Emirates will be 50 years old, and Kazakhstan will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Independence.

At the end of the meeting, signed documents were exchanged. Memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of petrochemical industry, the Ministry of energy of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of energy and industry of the UAE, Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of trade and integration of Kazakhstan and the UAE Ministry of economy, a Memorandum of understanding between the Committee International financial centre "Astana" for regulation of financial services and Central Bank of the UAE were signed.
