Kazakh peacekeepers are in India

Together with representatives of the Indian side, training of military personnel for the implementation of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon peacekeeping mission has begun, Kazakh Ministry of Defence reports.

The fourth peacekeeping company of the Kazakhstan peacekeeping regiment, consisting of 29 soldiers, is located in New Delhi, India.

During the month, training sessions will be held including duty at checkpoints and observation posts, classes on base protection and patrolling on foot and motor vehicles.

The training will cover and explain the organization and structure of the UN, the geographical location of the Republic of Lebanon, and the main legal acts that guide the contingent of peacekeeping forces in carrying out the mission.

Recall that in may 2020, the 4th peacekeeping company is planning to go to Lebanon to carry out the UN Interim Force in Lebanon peacekeeping mission. The Kazakhstan company will carry out the peacekeeping mission as part of the Indian battalion.
