Kazakhstan declines to hold tennis match canceled in China

Earlier Kazakhstanis were concerned over holding international tennis match canceled in China due to coronavirus in the capital of the country. The decision was made by Interdepartmental Commission under the Kazakh Government.

The proposal of the international Tennis Federation to move the qualifying matches of the Federation Cup from Dongguan of China to Nur-Sultan from 4 to 8 February 2020 was rejected, and the Asian Water Polo qualifying championship was canceled from 12 to 16 February 2020, Prime Minister's office says.

The Interdepartmental Commission monitors the situation as the number of infected rises daily. As of January 29 this year, no cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan. This issue is under strict control of the country's leadership.
