Visas for Chinese citizens to Kazakhstan suspended

The Interdepartmental Commission under the Government adopted additional protective measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Kazakhstan, including visa restrictions for Chinese citizens.

Passenger bus services between Kazakhstan and China are suspended from January 29, 2020, passenger trains from February 1, 2020 and regular air traffic between Kazakhstan and China will be suspended from February 3, 2020. 

As earlier reported, Visa issuance for Chinese citizens to Kazakhstan is also suspended.

The Interdepartmental Commission monitors the situation as the number of infected rises daily. As of January 29 this year, no cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan. This issue is under strict control of the country's leadership.
