During the meeting, the First President of Kazakhstan was informed about the implementation of the judicial system reform and the activities of the National Plan in terms of selection and training of judicial personnel.

– The Supreme Judicial Council carries out the selection of judicial personnel. This work must be objective. Judges must be selected following the competition. They should be educated, honest, and able to work with people," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

In turn, Talgat Donakov told about the measures taken to ensure transparency of the selection of judges.

- The situation is changing. Trust in judges is growing. The work has become as objective and transparent as possible. A special competition Commission was created, which included not only judges, but also representatives of the legal community, HR specialists, and independent experts. Those cadres who go to the courts today are more prepared and responsible," said the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council.
