Kazakh Healthcare Ministry shares updates on the virus

Monitoring of citizens coming from China and neighboring countries continues. So, for the period from January 6 to today, 30394 people arrived, Kazakh Healthcare Ministry says.

Specialists of the Committee for Quality and Safety of Goods and Services of the Ministry of Healthcare examined 21838 people at the international airports of Almaty and Nur-Sultan and railway stations.

To date, 104 people have been hospitalized and isolated in separate boxes with a temperature and signs of acute respiratory viral infections, 71 have been discharged, 33 people still remain in hospitals under medical supervision.

For additional epidemiological control, samples taken from all hospitalized patients were sent to the National Scientific Center for Highly Infectious Diseases in Almaty. Specialists in this center have studied the methodology for PCR diagnostics of a novel Coronavirus 2019-nCoV.

Kazakhstan has all the necessary drugs and medical devices for maintenance therapy, prepared places with boxes for isolation in infectious hospitals, medical and paramedical personnel.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan constantly controls the overall situation.
