217 Kazakh citizens returned from China

217 Kazakh citizens were delivered by charter plane from Beijing to Nur-Sultan. 

Earlier Kazakh Foreign Ministry announced that two planes will deliver Kazakh citizens in China who have expressed a desire to return to their homeland.

Passengers were accompanied by medical staff during the flight.

Another 145 citizens will be returning from China on February 12.

All returned people are now placed in a specialized medical organization. There are no registered sick people among them, Kazakh Healthcare ministry said.

There were 719 citizens of Kazakhstan on the territory of China, 391 of whom have requested assistance in returning to their homeland. The rest - employees and family members of diplomatic institutions, students and other individuals-expressed their desire to remain in China.

Kazakhstan's diplomatic institutions in China continue to work and maintain contact with citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan to provide appropriate assistance if necessary.
