The Head of state received Natalia Godunova, Chairman of the Accounts Committee, Akorda reports.

Natalia Godunova reported on the results of the analysis of the effectiveness of the national holdings. The corresponding instruction was contained in the President's Message to the people of Kazakhstan dated September 2, 2019.

According to the head of the Accounts Committee, systemic problems and shortcomings have been identified that need to be addressed. In particular, the share of the quasi-public sector in the economy does not decrease. Subjects of the quasi-public sector are largely dependent on support from the Republican budget.

According to Natalia Godunova, there is still a lack of transparency in procurement procedures: the lion's share of contracts is concluded in a non-competitive way. The counting Committee in the course of the audit will determine whether there are objective reasons for this state of affairs.

Natalia Godunova submitted proposals to the Head of state for the optimization of national holdings, including the liquidation of certain companies in the quasi-public sector.

In General, the President positively assessed the results of the accounts Committee's activities.
