Kazakh President visits Hazrat Sultan Mosque in the capital

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Hazret Sultan mosque and met with the newly elected Supreme mufti of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan Nauryzbai kazhy Taganuly.

The President congratulated the Supreme mufti on his new post and wished him success in his future activities.

During the meeting, the issues of preserving peace and stability in the country, calling citizens to consent and solidarity through religion, the need for spiritual orientation, as well as harmful actions of other religious movements were discussed.

The Supreme mufti presented to the head of State an action plan for information, organizational and charitable work of the spiritual administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan. The work of the Department will be based on seven spiritual values, such as morality, patriotism, education, unity, hard work, culture and justice.
