Kazakhstan to reduce the number of police officers

Kazakhstan is reducing the number of police officers. This was announced by the Minister of internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Turgumbayev at the government hour in the Senate.

"We have optimized the management system. 106 redundant management links and 1,483 management positions were abolished. The number of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been reduced by 11% (by 10,592 units)," Erlan Turgumbayev said.

The Minister said that this saved about 16 billion tenge.

"We reduced administrative expenses and strengthened grassroots divisions. 13 thousand square meters of space was released, of which 5.6 thousand square meters were transferred to the Republican and municipal property," Erlan Turgumbayev added.
