Cooperation in agriculture between Kazakhstan and Serbia discussed

Kazakh Ambassador in Serbia Gabit Syzdykbekov met with state Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Government of the Republic of Serbia and President of the Cooperative Union of Serbia, MFA reports.

The parties discussed prospects and possible formats for practical cooperation in the agricultural sector, including agreements reached earlier at the meetings of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.

In particular, it was agreed to organize visits to leading research institutes and centres in Serbia to establish cooperation with Kazakh partners in order to study the experience of obtaining high-quality seed varieties and growing fruits and berries using Serbian technology.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects of signing the Memorandum on cooperation in the veterinary field between the Committee of veterinary control and supervision of Kazakhstan and the Office for veterinary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Government of the Republic of Serbia.

Kazakh Ambassador proposed to pay special attention to ensuring the mutual participation of representatives of interested departments and business circles of Kazakhstan and Serbia in fairs and exhibitions organized on the territory of the two countries.
