Public transport for minors to be free in Kazakh capital

From March 28, 2020, the capital will introduce free travel for all minors. During negotiations with carriers, the mayor of the city decided to introduce free travel for people under 18 years of age. This also applies to children from the suburbs of the capital.

Free travel on buses will start on March 28, during which time all the preparatory work will be carried out. Children who do not have registered transport cards should buy one as validation of the transport card in the bus remains mandatory.

The fare in public transport for passengers aged 7 to 15 years was 40 tenge, from 15 years is 90 tenge. Also free travel is saved for privileged categories of citizens.
