Over 96% of socially significant facilities adapted for the disabled

96.6% of the 34.3 thousand social and transport infrastructure facilities in Kazakhstan have been adapted to create an accessible environment for people with disabilities.

33,642 buildings out of 34,301 such as schools, hospitals, libraries, cultural centres, railway and bus stations, airports are adapted for people with disabilities

Accessible environment for disabled people was analysed by installation of ramps, sound/visual/acoustic/tactile devices, information signs, allocation of Parking places and others.

100% adaptation of objects was carried out in Almaty, East Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, and Karaganda regions.
