Kazakh-Russian cooperation in education discussed at Lomonosov MSU

Kazakh Ambassador in Russia Yermek Kosherbayev met with the rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichiy, Kazakh Embassy reports.

The parties discussed joint projects and the development of cooperation in science and education.

They expressed confidence in the University's further successful training of professional staff for Kazakhstan.

The issues of functioning of the Kazakh branch of MSU were also mentioned. Over 20 years of work, it has trained more than 1 thousand highly qualified specialists. Currently, the branch offers undergraduate and graduate programs at the faculties of "Mathematics", "Applied mathematics and computer science", "Philology", "Ecology and nature management" and " Economics".

It was suggested to hold a Forum of rectors of Kazakhstan and Russia on an annual basis to develop and strengthen cooperation between Universities of the two countries.

During the meeting, Yermek kosherbayev congratulated Viktor Sadovnichy on the 265th anniversary of MSU this year.
