Kazakhstan Aviation administration on flights to high-risk countries

Kazakh Government is taking measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Kazakhstan. From March 1, 2020, the 4th stage of strengthening was introduced, expanding the list of countries that apply quarantine measures to those who arrived from them.

All scheduled flights (34 flights per week) between Kazakhstan and China have been suspended since February 3, 2020.

Since March 1, 2020, the number of regular flights on the Nur-Sultan – Seoul and Almaty – Seoul routes has been reduced from 9 to 3 flights per week: Air Astana on the Nur-Sultan – Seoul route from 2 to 1 flights per week, on the Almaty – Seoul route from 5 to 1 flights per week, and Asiana Airlines from 2 to 1 flights per week.

Flights on the Almaty – Tehran route of Mahan Air have been suspended since March 1 (1 flight per week).

The Nur-Sultan – Baku flight is also suspended from March 5. Almaty-Baku flight is limited from 5 to 2 flights (air Astana from 3 to 1, Azerbaijan Airlines from 2 to 1), Aktau – Baku flight-from 7 flights to 1 flight (SCAT). Nur-Sultan-Tokyo air route - from 2 to 1 flight (SCAT).

In connection with the suspension of these flights, passengers who have tickets from March 1, 2020, for the above flights can issue a refund of air tickets at the place of purchase without penalty and in full.

Since March 3, 2020, a situation centre aimed at monitoring the situation with coronavirus has been functioning in the planned mode on the basis of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC. The centre monitors the statistics of infected people in countries with which Kazakhstan has regular and irregular flights.

For passengers, in order to consult on the issue of refund of air tickets, Kazakhstan Aviation administration has a hotline number 8 (7172) 64 58 41. Working hours from 09.00 to 18.00 on working days (5/2).
