Kazakhstan confirms first cases of coronavirus

Two Kazakh citizens who arrived from Germany test positive for the virus, Healthcare Ministry says.

"Kazakhstan has been fighting the coronavirus for three months. All necessary measures were taken to prevent. Unfortunately, two citizens tested positive for coronavirus. They arrived from Germany. They were placed in a hospital. These patients do not have any clinical symptoms and feel well. All necessary measures are being taken, " Yelzhan Birtanov said.

"We are not going to disclose the patient's information. This is a man and a woman. They arrived from Germany, the first patient arrived on March 9. This is before the ban on flights from and to Germany. The second patient arrived on the 12th of March," said the Healthcare Minister.
