Entrepreneurs punished for unjustified increase in prices for products

In Kazakh capital several supermarkets were punished for unjustified price increases for socially important products  such as "Interfood", "Vkusmart", "Vstrecha", akim's office says.

The managers of these stores were brought to administrative responsibility - the amount of the fine is 100 MCI (265 thousand 100 tenge). Mobile groups of the mayor's office, together with employees of the Prosecutor's office and the Antimonopoly office are constantly conducting raids to identify the facts of unjustified price increases for socially important products and non-compliance with sanitary standards.

Set maximum prices on the following goods as flour, bread from wheat flour of the first grade (tin), horns (weight), buckwheat (unground, weight), polished rice (round grain, weight), beef (shoulder-chest part with bones), eggs (category I), sunflower oil, salt (except "Extra").

Supermarkets and stores have markings and placards that indicate the need to keep the distance between customers in the queue at least 1 meter as well as sanitizers at the entrance.

All food facilities must comply with strict sanitary standards, in case of violations, they will be fined and closed.
