Turkic world celebrates "Year of Tonykok"

Tomorrow, April 24, the official opening of the "Year of Tonykok" will be held dedicated to the 1300 anniversary of the outstanding statesman in the history of the Turkic world, known as Tonykok Abyz, which will be celebrated at the UNESCO level. The event is organized by International Turkic Academy.

Events dedicated to the anniversary date for the Turkic world will begin with an international online video conference "The great steppe civilization: The world of Tonykok and the modern Turkic world", dedicated to the heritage of Tonkok.

The conference in online video format will be attended by the leaders of UNESCO organizations, the Turkic Council, TURKSOY, TurkPA, heads of academies of Turkic-speaking countries and well-known scientists from the USA, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Poland, Russia, Bashkortostan, Uzbekistan and Turkey.

During the event, the presentation of the scientific collection of the International Turkic Academy, translated into 12 languages of the world, the text of the Tonykok monument will be held.

It should be noted that last year, at the initiative of the International Turkic Academy, an official decision was made to mark the 1300 anniversary of the Tonykkok monument, as well as in 2020 on a single proposal from the States of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Mongolia.
