Humanitarian aid from Kazakhstan arrived in Bishkek

On April 29, 2020, the first batch of humanitarian aid from Kazakhstan 800 tons of flour arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic, MFA says.

The humanitarian cargo was delivered by rail in 12 wagons in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological standards.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev decided to provide humanitarian assistance to its neighbours Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. 5 thousand tons of flour to each country for a total amount of more than 3 million dollars were shipped.

According to the Minister of agriculture, food industry and melioration of Kyrgyzstan Erkinbek Choduev, the Kyrgyz side highly appreciates the assistance provided by Kazakh Government and expresses deep gratitude to the fraternal Kazakh people for their support.

Humanitarian aid is stored in the warehouses of the state material reserves Fund under the government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
