Veterans to get one-time financial assistance

Kazakh citizens who contributed to the victory in the Second World War will receive one-time financial assistance in the amount of 7.6 billion tenge.

On the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Victory 1025 participants and disabled people of the Second World War, as well as citizens of other categories who contributed to the Victory, will receive one-time financial assistance totalling 7.6 billion tenge.

The Ministry of labour and social protection of the population of Kazakhstan recommended to the local authorities to establish a guaranteed minimum financial assistance to all categories of citizens who contributed to Victory in World War II.

Payments have already been made in a number of regions such as East Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Pavlodar regions.
Veterans will receive traditional food baskets.
All veterans also have the rights and guarantees that apply to military personnel. For example, they receive preferential housing, have tax relief, and receive free medical care.

Overall, 181 thousand people will get state support this year.
