Foreign ministers of Kazakhstan and Romania speak over phone

At the initiative of the Romanian side, Kazakh foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi had a telephone conversation with Romanian foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu.

A separate topic of negotiations was the joint actions of the two countries during the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection. In particular, M.Tleuberdi expressed gratitude to the Romanian side for the return of Kazakhstani citizens. In turn, B. Aurescu thanked for providing assistance to Romanian airlines in the implementation of regular transit transport of medical cargo from China through the territory of Kazakhstan.

During the conversation, the sides also touched upon a wide range of issues, paying special attention to the activation of political contacts, the deepening of trade, investment, cultural and humanitarian ties.

Seen as a major event in the second half of 2020 will be the 15th meeting of the intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation, which is planned to discuss prospects for mutually beneficial projects (transport, logistics, pharmaceuticals, energy, agriculture, infrastructure development, tourism, education).

At the same time, the heads of foreign ministries highly appreciated the activities of KazMunayGas international, which is one of the largest investors in the Romanian economy.
