Kazakh President's press secretary tests positive for COVID-19

Kazakh President's press secretary Berik Uali confirmed that he tested positive for COVID-19.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev continues work according to the schedule safe and sound and safety measures are restricted in Akorda the press secretary posted.

"Unfortunately, I have to say that my last COVID-19 test was positive despite all precautionary measures. I am staying at hospital under medical observation now. The condition is satisfactory," he said.

"President Tokayev continues work according to the schedule. The head of state is regularly tested. The sanitary regime has been reinforced in Akorda, security measures were stepped up. I urge everyone to follow quarantine rules for the sake of health of relatives and close people. Pandemic should not be retreated carelessly," Berik Uali said.
