Bakytzhan Sagintayev presents new minister to employees of Ministry of Internal Affairs

Feb. 12 on behalf of the Head of State, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev presented to the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs a new minister — Turgumbayev Yerlan Zamanbekovich, who was appointed by the Presidential Decree.

Prime Minister Sagintayev thanked Kassymov for fruitful work and wished success in the new responsible position of Assistant to the President — Secretary of the Security Council. The great contribution made by Kassymov to the establishment, strengthening and development of the sphere of ensuring law and order both as Minister of Internal Affairs (since 2011) and in general throughout the work in the internal affairs bodies of Kazakhstan is noted.

During the presentation of the new head of the department, it was noted that Turgumbayev had been working in law enforcement agencies for many years, with more than six years in the position of vice minister of internal affairs. The Office of the Head of State has set big tasks for implementing the Address “Growing Welfare of Kazakh Citizens: Increase in Incomes and Quality of Life.” First of all, it is the protection of the rule of law and the safety of citizens.

Turgumbayev was born in 1962 in Almaty. He graduated from the Kirov Kazakh State University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Hos service in the internal affairs bodies began in 1984. Over the years, he worked in the territorial departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Karaganda, North Kazakhstan regions, Almaty, headed the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Investigative Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. From December 2012 to the present he has been the vice minister of Internal Affairs.
