The forum was attended by key representatives of the international IT- community, recognized technologies experts, business managers, tech entrepreneurs, government officials from different countries, IT-specialists, scientists, venture capitalists, and investors.
More than 50 Kazakhstani and international speakers made reports at the platform of Digital Bridge: Jean-François Gauthier, CEO at Startup Genome; Dirk Ahlborn, CEO at Hyperloop Transportation; Bob Dorf, businessman, consultant and mentor at Startup Academy, author of a number of best-sellers on the subject of startup; Aliya Prokofyeva, founder and owner at Galaktika private space company; Jeff Hoffman, co-founder at Priceline Group; Kamran Elahian, chairman and co-founder at Global Catalyst Partners, an international venture capital company.
Within the forum, Dialogue on Global Trends in the Development of Digital Economy plenary session took place, in which officials Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, Prime Minister of Estonia Jury Ratas and Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russian Federation, Konstantin Noskov. In cooperation with international experts, speakers discussed worldwide trends in digital entrepreneurship and the potential of Kazakhstan in the global market.
Within the forum, Digital Bridge Awards, the first Kazakhstani Award in the field of digitalization was presented. The award judiciary board, chaired by the Vice-Prime-Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Zhumagaliyev, selected the winners in three nominations. It should be noted that the expert commission of the award with the assistance of Kompra service, a graduate of the first acceleration program of Astana Hub technopark, verified the loyalty of nominees for the Best IT Company Award.
Additionally, within Digital Bridge forum, two posh events initiated by Astana Hub international technopark of IT startups were held: Astana Hub Battle, the competition of startups, and Astana Hub Awards, the awards in the field of startup industry of Kazakhstan. It is expected that the award and startup competition of Astana Hub Technopark will be held annually. Moreover, the participants of Digital Bridge forum had the opportunity to hold 30-minute 1:1 B2B meetings with the companies or participants of the event, which they were interested in.
The program of Digital Bridge Forum consisted of 9 panel discussions, at which invited speakers discussed the construction of sustainable startup ecosystems; usage of Blockchain technology in digitalization of the state; the impact of innovative information and communications technologies on the development of electronic government; space innovations, the way of Kazakhstan in building a new generation of technological entrepreneurs and other topics of innovative development. Digital Bridge is one of the leading innovation events in Kazakhstan this year. On the dialogue platform of the Forum, participants discussed the latest international digitalization trends and shared the best practices and business models. Digital Bridge Forum is expected to become an annual event that will create a dialogue platform between the countries of Europe and Asia to promote the ideas of digital transformation, electronic government, technology entrepreneurship and the 4th industrial revolution.
