DPM Dossaev informed his colleague DPM Shangmuratnam about the main guidelines of the State of the Nation Address of H.E. Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as of 5 October 2018, aimed at improving quality of human capital, and introduction of best practices and technologies. Also, information on the activity being carried out to ensure Kazakhstan’s joining 30 most developed countries of the world was shared with the Singaporean dignitary.
Erbolat Dossaev emphasized Kazakhstan’s readiness to further promote economic and investment cooperation, noting that «Kazakhstan perceives Singapore as a key partner in the regions of Southeast Asia and ASEAN, and given the generally recognized reputation of Singapore as a trade, financial, logistics and technology center, economic and investment cooperation is a priority in bilateral relations».
During the period January-August 2018 trade turnover between the countries amounted to more than $ 300 million, including exports from Kazakhstan - $286.6 million. In this regard, it was noted that the upcoming official visit of H.E. Mr. Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, to Singapore on 20-21 November 2018 will be an important step towards expanding contacts both at the government level and at the level of the business community of the two countries.

The DPM Shangmuratnam experessed readiness of the Singaporean side to expand cooperation with Kazakhstan in all spheres and invited to explore all possible prospects for cooperation.
