Government working group visits West Kazakhstan region

Continuing the working visits to the regions in order to clarify the new social measures of Elbasy “Aleumettik Qamqorlyq,” Deputy Prime Minister Gulshara Abdykalikova met with the public of the West Kazakhstan region and held personal reception of citizens, where she learned the local people's pressing problems, including the problems of low-income families, reports the press service of PM.

At the meeting with, the new social measures of Elbasy “Aleumettik Qamqorlyq” were discussed, in particular Abdykalikova informed citizens about the ongoing work to improve well-being and increase incomes of the population, as well as to strengthen measures of state support for needy segments of the population. In turn, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Berdibek Saparbayev announced support for low-income and large families. Thus, from April 1, children will start receiving targeted social assistance of 20,789 tenge. Following the meeting, Abdykalikova held a personal reception of citizens and instructed the leadership of the region to work out the questions and suggestions voiced by the people.

In addition, the Minister of Healthcare Yelzhan Birtanov lead the working group’s trips to Aksai, Terekti and Taskala districts, where the hospitals were visited and meetings with citizens were held.

Alongside this, in the city of Uralsk, the Minister of Education and Science Kulyash Shamshidinova met with teams of teachers in schools and colleges, held a personal reception of citizens, where she answered topical questions from parents regarding improving the education system.

At the end of the first working day in the West Kazakhstan region, Abdykalikova held a meeting with the heads of districts, city-forming enterprises and trade union organizations, where issues of prevention of collective labor disputes, raising wages of low-paid employees were discussed. At the same time, the social responsibility of employers was especially noted, primarily on the issues of housing problems for the least well-off workers.

The government working group earlier visited the Atyrau region, where they also conducted outreach. The working group includes the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Berdibek Saparbayev, Minister of Education and Science Kulyash Shamshidinova, Minister of Healthcare Yelzhan Birtanov, chairmen of the Committee for Construction, Housing and Communal Services Markhabat Jayymbetov, Committee for Forestry and Wildlife Kair Ryskeldinov, as well as media representatives and bloggers.

It should be noted that the working visit to the West Kazakhstan region will continue tomorrow. The visit to the Peremetnoye village of the Baiterek district is planned, where the work of the Employment Center and the district’s public service center will be inspected. Further work of the group will continue in Aktobe region.
