Gulshara Abdykalikova makes working visit to Atyrau region

Working group composed of the first leaders of the Government’s social unit headed by Deputy Prime Minister Gulshara Abdykalikova arrived in the Atyrau region to conduct outreach on the implementation of the New Social Measures of Elbasy “Aleumettіk Qamqorlyq”, reports the press service of PM.

The purpose of the working visit is to clarify the implementation of the Head of State’s instructions voiced at the XVIII Congress of the Nur Otan Party.

The key event of the working trip was the meeting with the public in the region, where they discussed issues of raising incomes and measures to support low-income groups of population, solving housing problems for low-income citizens, improving education and healthcare, and the integrated development of the region.

Abdykalikova reported that the new social measures of Elbasy are aimed at increasing the quality of life of Kazakhstanis, improving the well-being of low-income, large families raising children with disabilities, as well as socially vulnerable groups of the population most in need of state support.

Following the meeting in Atyrau, subgroups headed by Minister of Education and Science Kulyash Shamshidinova, Minister of Healthcare Yelzhan Birtanov held personal receptions of citizens in the Makhambet, Zhylyoi and Isatai districts, visited the healthcare and education workers.

The same day the Abdykalikova familiarized herself with the construction of the residential complex for social workers. Commissioning of the first block of 72 apartments is scheduled for March 2019. Construction will be fully completed in July.

In addition, Abdykalikova inspected the readiness of the city Employment and Service Centers, and also visited the House of Students, where she discussed with young people from low-income families new opportunities offered as part of the Year of Youth.

It should be noted that the working group includes the ministers of labor and social protection of the population Berdibek Saparbayev, education and science Kulyash Shamshidinova, healthcare Yelzhan Birtanov, chairmen of the Committee for Construction, Housing and Communal Services Markhabat Zhayymbetov, Forestry and Wildlife Committee Kair Ryskeldinov, as well as media representatives and bloggers.

At the end of the first day of work, a meeting was held with regional akims, heads of enterprises and trade unions, at which issues of protecting the rights of workers in obtaining timely and decent wages, modernizing production, and ensuring safe working conditions were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on the social responsibility of employers, primarily in relation to socially vulnerable categories of workers. The working trip to Atyrau region continues. Explanatory and informational work in the framework of working visits are also planned in the neighboring regions.
