The Head of State in his Address “New Opportunities Under the Fourth Industrial Revolution” emphasized the need to stimulate business to invest in green technologies. Mirzagaliyev noted that the Ministry of Energy, to execute this order, together with state bodies and public organizations, started the work to develop measures of state support for green projects and green financing.

Many international development banks decided to invest only in green projects.

In this connection, the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects under formation will be engaged in the creation of the Best Available Technologies Register (list), issuing expert evaluations and (or) recommendations in the area of technology use to the entities of industrial and innovative activity for the further implementation of projects. The lists will include the best and the latest green technologies on the cleaning of air, water, etc.

Anar Bulzhanova, in her turn, answering the journalists’ questions, noted that today the legislative, legal, and organizational matters are being resolved. The activity of the center will open new opportunities for the development of renewable energy sources in the Central Asia. Transfer of innovation technologies, training, holding of expertize, consultations on questions of financing – all this will speed up the implementation of the green economy projects in all the Central Asian Countries.

“International Center of Green Technologies will also promote the Green Bridge Partnership Program, proposed to the world community by the Head of State,” Bulzhanova said.

As is known, this initiative is aimed at the strengthening of partnership between the countries of Europe, Asia and the Pacific Ocean, exchange of experience, creation of clean technology transfer mechanisms, joint investments and demonstration projects on the transition to a green economy and preservation of common ecosystems.

“In addition, we also have inventors in our country. The International Exhibition Expo-2017 in Astana showed that. One of the tasks of the International Center is to bring promising domestic projects on green technologies to the international level,” Bulzhanova summed up.

It should be recalled that June 5 at the meeting of the Government chaired by the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the progress in implementation of the Concept on the Transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Green Economy was considered.
