Egemen’s CEO visits Asahi Shimbun’s office to see how it works

The Chairman of “Egemen Kazakhstan” republic newspaper Darkhan Kydyrali is on working trip in Tokyo, Japan.

Yesterday Mr. Kydyrali visited the head office of one of the largest Japan’s newspapers Asahi Shimbun and met with the company’s officials. During the meeting, sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between newspapers and joined an excursion around the publishing house.   

As Mr. Kydyrali says, they talked about trends in publishing and the future of digital journalism. The deputy news editor Jun Najima presented to Kazakh delegation the working process of newspaper edition from printing to delivery into the readers’ hands.

At the end of the meeting, sides agreed to conclude an official treaty and create joined projects.

For reference, Asahi Shimbun is one of the largest newspaper in the world with a circulation of 6.2 million. The company publishes the newspaper two times a day and has 320 offices around the world, and employs 4500 people. In addition, Asahi Shimbun has a TV channel and big social projects.
