Kazakh President Nazarbayev to meet the USA President Trump

On January 16, 2018, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev will meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington, reports the Akorda press service reports.

‘An official visit of the Kazakh President to the USA will take place on January 16 - 18. The meetings with President Donald Trump, representatives of the official and business circles of the USA, are expected to take part in the meeting of the UN Security Council’, mentioned the message of Akorda.

According to the press service of the White House, ‘the presidents will discuss ways to strengthen and expand the strategic partnership on regional security and economic cooperation’. Also, Nazarbayev and Trump will discuss Kazakhstan's leadership in solving some international issues, especially in Afghanistan, during the presidency of the UN Security Council.

Recall, on January 18, 2018, Kazakh President will address the thematic briefing in the UN Security Council on the topic ‘the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction: confidence-building measures’ in New York.
