Kazakh President held a meeting with representatives of US business circles

 Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev during an official visit to Washington, met with representatives of US business circles, reports the press service of Kazakh President.

The Head of State underlined the strategic nature of relations between Kazakhstan and the United States.

‘America ranks second regarding direct investment in Kazakhstan's economy. For the years of independence, American companies in Kazakhstan have invested more than $50 billion. Last year, the trade turnover between our countries amounted to about $2 billion. In our country, with the participation of American capital, activities of more than 500 companies in energy, transport, innovation, medicine and other spheres. Among our major partners are Chevron, Exxon Mobil, General Electric, Halliburton and others’, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

Kazakh President also noted the particular importance of the adopted Joint Statement on an expanded strategic partnership covering a wide range of bilateral relations.
