Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev talks in the UN Security Council

On January 18, chaired by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev the topic ‘The non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction: confidence-building measures’ discussed in the UN Security Council.

The document is based on the Manifesto ‘The World. XXI Century’ and ‘Kazakhstan's conceptual vision of strengthening the global partnership for building a safe, just and prosperous world’ on January 6, 2017.

During the debate, the sides discussed the crucial issues of non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. These issues considered as part of the work to strengthen confidence-building measures.

The President of Poland Andrzej Duda, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and other officials attended the meeting.

Recall, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev is on an official visit to the USA. Two days ago, the Head of State met with the US President Donald Trump.
