Government reviews implementation of the law on a Republican budget

At the meeting of the Government chaired by the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the issues of the implementation of the law on clarifying the republican budget for 2018-2020 and the draft of the Government's conclusion on amendments to the legislation on the activities of law enforcement bodies were considered, reports primeminister.kz.

Minister of Finance, Bakhyt Sultanov, reported on the implementation of the law "On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Republican Budget for 2018-2020."

The project was developed to implement the law on introducing changes to the republican budget of the current year, signed by the Head of State on April 27 for financial support of the Five Social Initiatives.

As the Minister of Finance noted, in total, after the clarification, the budget expenditures have been increased by 417 billion tenge. Thus, the distribution of targeted current transfers to the regions is increasing by 99.7 billion tenge, amounting to 293.6 billion tenge, and the distribution of targeted development transfers – by 98.4 billion tenge, in total – 449.3 billion tenge.

Republican budget investments, including replenishment of authorized capital and loans by 18.3 billion tenge, are decreasing, as a result, the total amount is 424.8 billion tenge.

"The list of priority investment projects aimed at the fulfillment of the important tasks and implemented on a suspensive condition has been increased by 14.4 billion tenge and amounted to 19.9 billion tenge," B. Sultanov said.

Following the consideration of the issue, Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructed the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance to prepare a draft resolution for signing.

Deputy Prosecutor General, Marat Akhmetzhanov, reported on the draft of the Government's conclusion on the amendments to the bill "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Improving the Activity of Internal Affairs Bodies."

As the speaker noted, the proposed amendments are aimed at reducing the repressiveness of the criminal process and its humanization, as well as improving the level of protection of citizens in the criminal process further.

The deputies initiated 275 amendments to the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code and the Penal Enforcement Code. In general, following the results of the meeting, the Draft Conclusions of the deputies' amendments are supported.
