Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting of State Commission on Modernization of Economy

June 25 in Ukimet Uyi the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan chaired a meeting of the State Commission on the Modernization of the Economy, reports primeminister.kz.

At the meeting, issues of ensuring sustainable economic growth of the country and modernizing the economy within the framework of the President's Address to the People "New Opportunities Under the Fourth Industrial Revolution" were considered. In particular, the progress of privatization and transfer of assets of the quasi-public sector to the competitive environment, as well as the implementation of the project "New Transport System of the City of Astana – LRT."

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population M. Abylkassymova, Minister of Finance B. Sultanov, First Vice Minister of National Economy R. Dalenov, Akim of Astana A. Issekeshev, Deputy Akim of the East Kazakhstan region Sh. Baybekov, as well as Chairman of the Board of SWF Samruk-Kazyna A. Yessimov spoke on the issues under consideration. First Deputy Prime Minister A. Mamin and Deputy Prime Minister E. Dossaev also took part in the discussion.

Recall, the State Commission on Modernization of the Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a consultative and advisory body. The purpose of the meetings is to develop and adopt decisions on improving the competitiveness and efficiency of Kazakhstan's economy.
