An important area of discussion was the interaction of the two countries within regional associations.

The heads of the two ministries discussed topical issues on the international agenda, and expressed interest in coordinating efforts aimed at ensuring regional and global security.

Following the meeting, an Action Plan was signed on cooperation between the foreign ministries of Kazakhstan and Russia for 2019-2020.

In general, the importance of constructive foreign policy cooperation and coordination of efforts to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation, and secure regional stability and security, was noted.
